Hi, welcome to the Sound of Gold, and it is Monday, presently in the afternoon, and so whatever kind of day you've had, let's just kind of be together right now and just wind it down a little bit. I'm so excited for my guests today, and I have a few different things happening as well. Well. First off, if you're watching this, you can see I'm in my home studio and my elderly sixteen year old cat is hanging out with me. For those that are not watching, I'm sharing telling you where I'm at and who I'm with here, and I'm in my home studio with my piano and my chimes. I also have a rain stick. And what I'd like to do today, what I don't normally do, is do kind of a part a two part show,

1:30 and the first part of my show. I am looking very forward to playing piano for you and just kind of unwind relax again. It's the end of a Monday, and whatever other time you're watching this, if you're watching the recorded version, no matter what day or time, you still get to sit back and relax. You're loved. So that's going to be the first part of our show today and the second part. I have a very dear friend of mine who is also a teacher and is going to be joining us to talk about how he's impacting the music world with his djaying and his silent disco. And not to give too much away, because he'll speak for himself when he's able to hop on.

2:13 Right now, he's still teaching, but I will say being a teacher myself, and sorry for the background noise. We have other cats that feel like it's playtime. So. Being a teacher myself. And I've had other friends tell me and myself too growing up and having teachers that have impacted my life, and you know, we think about it now, not as kids, but as we grow and as we mature and make decisions, and we think of those teachers that have maybe made a comment or a suggestion in our lifetime that in some ways changes our whole path or inspires us to think about making better decisions.

Mister Danny Baz is such an inspiration, a Good Shepherd. He's otherwise known as AKA Coach, so everybody does call him coach and the kids love him. I know. He teaches at Good Shepherd Elementary School, which is a private school in Tequesta.

And he is also a family man and I'm excited to hear how he juggles, not struggles, but juggles family life, teaching and DJing and it's definitely a great juggle and it's a. As we are our guests today again is mister Danny Vaz, and I'm excited to learn about his journey and how sound production became such a big part of his life, and how he's inspiring kids and families and neighborhood venues with his talent. And I'm excited to hear how he's made some of those connections. And for those listeners out there that are why to get more involved in their own music business, there is I'm not gonna say there's a secret. It's I really think and I'm not wanting to overspeak for mister Danny Baz aka coach,

32:16 but I really think it's about building relationships and building relationships and making connections. And I've been listening to a lot of a lot of motivational speakers myself recently, and you know it's so true. It's not about the business. It's not about what you can do for me. It's not about how much money I can make. It's not about how much money you can make. It's really about connecting. And as we as my cab is hissing, it's about us connecting, no hissing. And you know, as we move forward in life and and AI is becoming this huge ordeal and technology is continuing to grow in AI, we will never ever ever lose that human spirit and that human connection and we need to keep it going. And if we can teach our younger generations what we grew up with. I mean, we are the generation not given my age away, but I am that generation where before VHS tapes, before cell phones, before the beeper, and you know, we are in an age where we need to keep those connections alive through being human and just being real.

So, as I was mentioning while we're waiting for Danny, it's that human connection that we want to keep alive, no matter what industry. I mean, I'm all about the music industry. I love music. It flows through my veins for my music friends out there, you know what I mean. And but yeah, it's keep the connections real. Like the fake stuff just doesn't work because you know, you know when people are fake and it's just not not something we want to lean into or grow on.

34:17 We just want to be real and AI. I mean, it's a whole new system. I'm not gonna call it fake because I don't know people where people stand with all that. I mean, I personally am just learning more about it. And yeah, I mean I don't know the human connection. There's nothing like it and being real and especially raising kids being teachers, like you can't AI a teacher, you can't AI an influence, right because if you think about it, even going focusing on AI, it's the human being and that's programming them. They will never have spirit like the human has. And that human connection is what we will continue to inspire our race with our human race with There's no way around that. And and keeping it alive through music is the most beautiful way. Because another thing that we all know is that no matter what culture you come from, no matter what language you speak, we can all connect in units when it comes to music, because music touches the soul and it touches all of us.

35:29 So music is very special. It's it's a world of it's a unified how would you say it. It's something that speaks to all of us and doesn't matter what part of the world we come from. Please share with our audience, I mean, give us like a brief synops of your journey, like of how you your pe teacher, coach and and DJ and and how all you tell us a little story so that we can we can help the audience understand kind of.

38:07 You keep it all going, uh yeah, no, Well, first, thanks for having me. This is yeah, definitely first time I've ever done anything like this, So apologize for the uh to the for the delay. I was running a fleg football club and uh so we had to get kids signed out and all that stuff that goes with that. But so I I'm a former high school basketball coach. I coached at Jupiter High School for a number of years and then when I got over here a good shepherd. Me and my wife, we had two kids, and I think I always, you know, through my working adult life, always had multiple just things to do, either whether it be coaching, training or you know. I always having a joke with with my circle is just like, oh, you only have one job, Like I always had multiple jobs.

39:00 And I think I just I just I kept looking for that other thing while while balancing you know, being a husband, being a father, all those things. And yeah, me and my wife, we used to always do silent discos, you know, before before kids. And went to Jacksonville to visit some family and our my wife's cousin took us out on the town and there was a restaurant that was doing a silent disco and I was like man, this is so much fun. And I was like, why don't we try to get this for our school? And I just could not find a company or a business that would come to our school. So then the wheels just started spinning, and I started asking, you know, other parents or people I knew with kids, and it was just one of those things. The idea just would not go away. And my wife even initially was like, that's a stupid idea, and I was like, okay, that's fair.

39:59 And and then just you know, it's probably about a year a year, in a year and a half, just doing a lot of research and just plugging away and working out numbers, and finally we were at dinner one night and I just said, all right, like this idea is not going away. I want to do this, but. I'm not going to do this without you in my corner. I mean, that's part of the fun. You know. When I coached, she was you know, she's a sports girl, she's a basketball hooper, so I needed her to be with me. And as soon as she said let's do it, the rest is history. We started in July twenty four and we kind of did the bare minimum, just you know, she even said if it goes you know, if you know what hits the fan, We'll just have fun parties, you know, no big deal, right well, and yeah, just skyrocketed and here we are, and we booked pretty much, you know, three to four weekends a month or you know week week like a Saturday or Friday.
